Driving privileges not to be withheld by filing for bankruptcy

The Supreme Court of Canada ("SCC") released its long-awaited decisions in two related cases: 407 ETR v. Superintendent of Bankruptcy and Attorney General of Alberta v. Moloney. Both of these cases were of significant importance to the insolvency profession as both cases dealt with whether a government agency may refuse to grant a licence or privilege to an insolvent person due to the non-payment of a dischargeable debt.
